We have been looking at probability in maths. It is quite a tricky concept, but we have been having lots of fun!

Yesterday we played a very old dice game called “Pig”. We had to work out how to get to 100 points. You can find the rules here. Why not leave a comment explaining what you think the best strategies are?

We also talked about rolling a die. We decided that there was an even chance of getting any number from 1-6.

Next we looked at rolling 2 dice. Most of us thought that there would be an even chance of getting any number from 2-12 when we added them together. Then we simulated rolling the dice 5000 times (using this website)  to see if we were right. Here is a barchart of the results. Can you explain them?
