Blogging fantastic!

Well well! The Education Blog Awards have been voted for and counted, and we’ve done rather well… However, it’s not over yet.

Over 300 schools were nominated for awards. The votes were counted and whittled down to the ten most popular choices. Year 5 are in the top ten for the following awards:

  • Class blog of the year
  • Most influential blog of the year
  • ferrylane.net (all our blogs together) has been nominated for whole-school blog of the year.
  • Years 4 and 6 are also in the top ten for most influential blog of the year, and Year 6 have been nominated for class blog of the year.

You can see all the nominations for the awards by clicking here. I am incredibly proud of the blogging that has been going on recently. Our blogs are popular because of the quality of work on them – the writing, thinking and ICT being used is excellent, and I know that we will go from strength to strength… As for winning an award… GOOD LUCK!

I couldn’t agree more Mr Sloan! I am really proud that we have been nominated and I know even if we don’t win we are still seeing such fantastic work from all our classes. Having said that I hope we do win as you and the children have worked so hard to make this a great blog! Vote for us!
